Rosa has been using artistic creation since she was very young as a means of personal expression. Although painting and drawing have been her main tools of expression, she also writes poems and songs.
Her personal life has been influenced by long periods of loneliness, first due to the difficulties to fully assume her sexual identification in an unfavorable family environment. Currently, Rosa dedicates almost all of her day to drawing, not worrying about different actions of daily life, including feeding herself or taking care of her home.
Rosa’s use of lines and geometric elements create complex structures in which are trapped recognizable forms, humanoid faces and birds. Rosa cannot explain her obsession with birds, while the humanoid faces, she says, come from dreams and spiritual presences that she feels around her.
Her work has been exhibited in the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland and the USA.
